The Youth Leadership Initiative is a program that aims to develop the skills of Egyptian youth to contribute to their personal development and employability potential. YLI started in 2004 as an initiative led by Vodafone employees who were also skilled trainers. Having a belief in the value of using our own skills to develop Egypt’s talent and support university students through a leadership training that was delivered by over 200 employees from various Vodafone departments. This initiative is delivered in partnership with Alashanek ya Balady (AYB). Since inception, the program reached 4000 students from various universities, including Cairo, Alexandria, Ain Shams, Helwan, the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the German University in Cairo (GUC). A total of 288 volunteers participated in this initiative with a total of 2304 community service hours.
