The Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development launched ‘Ta3limy’ platform in 2019, which is the first interactive educational platform for parents, teachers and students in Egypt to support students in the digital education process. While allowing parents to track the progress of students during their educational journey to reduce the need for private tutoring. In addition to providing them with the latest parenting tips approved by the world's best educational experts and psychologists.
The platform also provides educational content for parents on how to use technology properly to understand how students use smartphones and tablets. The total number of users since its launch has reached more than 500,000 users. The increased reliance on digital education comes after the government’s decision to postpone mid-year exams to protect students from the second wave of the new Coronavirus. Vodafone worked on developing an educational platform and used the major international education companies such as the “Balanced Education Company” to provide training courses for teachers for free.
These courses include seven programs that focus on enhancing the skills of teachers in distance learning and educating them on how to use modern devices to provide effective electronic content to students, and how to achieve the necessary educational goals for students in distance learning. The teacher then obtains accredited certificates from Florida Atlantic University in the United States of America and Balanced Education Company after passing the training programs.

Mohamed Hena, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development, said: “The Foundation places the development of education at the top of its priorities, as it is the cornerstone for thriving countries, and keeping pace with the digital education trends. The Foundation was quick to launch an educational platform to provide the first free digital platform targeting students, parents, and teachers, and we are constantly working on developing the platform to provide the best e-learning experience.”
“We are pleased to partner with ‘Balanced Education Company’ and hope that it will be a successful extension of our partnership that has been going on for more than seven years.” Hanna added.

There is no way to enhance education without enhancing the professional and educational efficiency of the teacher, and the use of digital training is the best solution now given the large numbers of teachers in Egypt and in light of the major developments after the Coronavirus.”
“The academic partnership between the Balanced Education Company and Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in the United States of America/Department of Educational Leadership and Scientific Research Methods, represents an international dimension of scientific training based on the latest educational systems which will be presented in an easy and developed way on a platform that meets the requirements of the teacher in the twenty-first century.” Salma concluded.
