Vodafone Egypt Appoints Mohamed Moaz as Head of Strategy and Business Development

Vodafone Egypt has announced the appointment of Mohamed Moaz as Head of Strategy and Business Development, effective November 1, 2024. Moaz brings over 20 years of extensive experience in commercial strategy and product management. In his new role, he will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s strategic direction, as well as overseeing business development and projects aimed at driving sustainable growth through strategic partnerships and high-impact acquisitions.
Moaz began his career at Vodafone Egypt, where he spent 10 years contributing to the successful launch of key products such as “Flex,” “Red,” and ADSL, which played a significant role in strengthening Vodafone’s market position. Following his success in Egypt, he moved to Vodafone Group, where he led commercial operations across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia-New Zealand. He later assumed the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Vodafone Albania.
During his time in Albania, Moaz implemented well-crafted strategies that enhanced Vodafone Albania’s brand, significantly increased revenues and market share, and improved customer satisfaction as measured by the Net Promoter Score (NPS). In addition to his tenure at Vodafone, Moaz ventured into entrepreneurship, founding and advising several startups across diverse sectors including AI SaaS, EdTech, Fintech, and e-commerce. Most recently, he served as Director of Product and Marketing at Superpay, a payment processing startup based in Egypt. With this rich and diverse background, Moaz takes on his new role at Vodafone Egypt with a strategic vision aimed at leading the company’s next phase of growth and enhancing its ability to achieve its long-term goals.
