Insurance Coverage Terms and Conditions
• Insurance coverage is limited to physical losses or damages resulting from breakage, fire, flooding, electrical power fluctuation, or total loss.
• Coverage is only applicable to new devices.
• Basic Package Compensation: The insured is entitled to compensation once only (either partial repair or total loss) during the insurance period. Once compensated, the policy expires and no further claims are allowed.
• Premium Package Compensation: The insured is entitled to compensation twice only (once for partial repair and once for total loss) during the insurance period. After the second claim, the policy expires and no further claims are allowed.
• Insurance duration is 12 months, starting from the date of the device’s tax invoice.
• It is understood and agreed that the insured value of the device under the policy is the official price of the agent at the time of insurance, which serves as the reference for compensation.
• Geographic coverage is limited to Egypt only.
• The device owner/buyer (the insured) must contact Contact Insurance Brokerage Company (16177) immediately and present the insured device for inspection and complete the incident notification form within 14 days of the incident date.
• The device owner/buyer (the insured) must send the device to the authorized service center and obtain a detailed technical inspection report including:
o Device information
o Device receipt date
o Date the device entered maintenance
o Cause of damage
o Description of the damaged part
o Assessment of repair or replacement possibility
o Detailed repair quotation including cost of work
and submit this report to Contact Insurance Brokerage Company.
Required Documents in Case of Device Incident:
• Incident notification form
• Original technical inspection report
• Original stamped repair/replacement invoice from the second party
• Original final release form signed by the device owner/buyer
Total Loss Cases:
• A device is considered a total loss if the repair cost exceeds 60% of the insured value stated in the policy.
Deductibles:
• Basic Package (Partial Damage): The insured bears 20% of the repair cost, with a minimum of EGP 1,000 to be deducted. The remaining amount is refunded to the second party.
• Gold Package (Partial Damage): The insured bears 15% of the repair cost, with a minimum of EGP 1,000 to be deducted. The remaining amount is refunded to the second party.
• Total Loss: The insured bears 20% of the device value.
• In case accessories (device attachments) are not returned in total loss cases, their value will be deducted from the compensation according to the agent’s price.
• Gold Package: If two incidents occur (one partial and one total) during the insurance period, the value of the partial compensation will be deducted from the total compensation based on the purchase invoice.
• In case of total compensation, the insurance policy is terminated and the insured has no further rights to claim (both for the Basic and Gold packages).
• A device is considered a total loss if repair costs exceed 60% of the purchase invoice value.
Salvage Collection:
• The salvage (for total loss cases), along with its documents, must be submitted with each device (as per quantity) for verification against the records. It will be reviewed in light of the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the issued policy. It is agreed that claims will be rejected if the salvaged devices are incomplete for reasons unrelated to the incident.
Final Release:
• In case of partial repair:
The device owner must sign a release form at the service center stating they received the device in good condition after repair and that they waive any further claims against the insurance company or the agent.
• In case of total loss:
The device owner must sign a final release stating they have received the total compensation for the device and that they waive any further claims against the insurance company or the agent.
