Vodafone Business and Vodafone Egypt for Community Development sign strategic partnership with Baheya
In a step that reflects its deep commitment to supporting Egyptian women, Vodafone Business and the Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development have entered into a strategic partnership with Baheya Foundation as part of their participation in Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This partnership aims to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and support specialized healthcare through the Vodafone Digital Health Academy. As a sincere gesture of solidarity, the Vodafone Egypt Foundation has launched a special donation campaign for Baheya throughout October, pledging to match every donation made via Vodafone Cash doubling the impact and ensuring direct support for women in need of care.
The partnership agreement was signed by Ahmed Emam, Head of Digital Health at Vodafone Egypt, and Gilan Felfela, Board Member of Baheya Foundation. The signing was witnessed by Mahmoud El-Khatib, Business Unit Director at Vodafone Egypt, and Laila Salem, Board Member at Baheya Foundation.
Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this partnership sends a strong message about the value of every contribution in making a real difference in women's lives. It emphasizes that collective efforts are key to supporting the community and enhancing healthcare in Egypt. The initiative includes launching a training program through Vodafone’s Digital Health Academy that focuses on the latest trends and developments in digital health. The program will train Baheya’s staff including management, medical, and IT teams on the latest digital tools and techniques. Workshops will cover a range of topics such as leveraging digital health solutions and provide in-depth explanations of digital healthcare mechanisms using the latest technologies.
Ahmed Emam, Head of Digital Health at Vodafone Egypt, commented: "Vodafone Egypt plays a vital role in digitizing the healthcare system in Egypt and enhancing the performance of all medical, technical, and administrative staff across public and private hospitals, in cooperation with our government and private sector partners. Today, we take part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an ambitious training program in collaboration with Baheya Foundation, aiming to build the digital skills of its workforce and empower them to offer the best care possible to patients."
During the same event, Shahdan Aram, Secretary General of Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development, and Dr. Gilan Ahmed, CEO of Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Breast Cancer Treatment, signed another partnership agreement between Vodafone Egypt Foundation and Baheya Foundation. The signing was also witnessed by Mahmoud El-Khatib and Laila Salem. In parallel with Vodafone's October donation campaign supporting Baheya's early detection and free treatment programs, the Vodafone Egypt Foundation has also facilitated free hotline calls to Baheya throughout the month. This initiative boosts awareness of Baheya’s services and makes it easier for women to access free early detection and treatment options. Shahdan Aram commented: "The Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development believes strongly in investing in the health of Egyptian women. Through our partnership with Baheya, we’re especially focused on raising awareness about breast cancer and generating the donations needed to support every Egyptian woman. We are committed to providing impactful and innovative support that improves healthcare services and enhances quality of life for breast cancer warriors." Dr. Gilan Ahmed, CEO of Baheya Foundation, added: "We are proud of our partnership with Vodafone Egypt and the Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development. This collaboration comes at a critical time to support our efforts in fighting breast cancer. Through this partnership, we will be able to enhance our services and expand awareness about the importance of early detection which is key to increasing recovery and survival rates. Vodafone’s support will directly improve the quality of care we provide and give us the tools needed to continue our mission of offering the best possible healthcare, helping more women on their recovery journey." Vodafone Egypt also organized a company-wide awareness event in alignment with Breast Cancer Awareness Month as part of its occupational safety and health activities. The event included a series of awareness sessions led by Baheya’s specialized medical team, focusing on the importance of early detection and prevention. A charity bazaar was also held featuring products made by breast cancer survivors, with proceeds going to support patient recovery. Donation opportunities were made available through physical donation boxes and digital screens, encouraging Vodafone employees to support Baheya and contribute to helping patients. This partnership reaffirms Vodafone Egypt’s commitment to women’s health and to supporting the healthcare sector in Egypt, as the company continues to provide innovative solutions to empower communities and improve the lives of thousands by ensuring timely access to high-quality healthcare.
